Bear can’t wait to celebrate Christmas with his forest friends this year!

There’s just one problem: he hibernates through the winter …

The leaves are changing colour, and, this year, Bear has a plan. He is going to stay awake for Christmas Day.

Together with Fox, Squirrel, Rabbit and Owl, they start to get ready for the big day. But … Bear is tired! His friends try all sorts of activities to keep him awake, but he is just too sleepy. How will they give Bear the Christmas he is dreaming of?

This gorgeously illustrated picture book from mother and daughter Roxana and Shelby de Rond is bursting with humour, charm and the magic of friendship at Christmastime.

Roxana de Rond is a freelance illustrator with a passion for drawing people and dogs. After years of moving between the States and the UK, she settled in Cambridge. Cambridge proves to be an inspirational place to live with its buildings, green spaces, history and interesting inhabitants. While doing her MA, Roxana turned idle people-watching into stories told with just a few strokes of pen and ink and gouache. These stories are often every day events infused with humour, reflecting a sense of contentment.
