From New York Times bestselling relationship expert Dr. Emerson Eggerichs and his daughter, Joy Eggerichs Reed, comes the whimsical and laugh-out-loud tale of Beega, Dooga, and Tiny in the Land of Nuf. Young readers will follow these three "Gigglies" as they learn about communication skills and the importance of thinking before you speak or, for the shy child, knowing when it's time to speak up!

Created by Emerson as a bedtime story for Joy when she was a child, Joy, now a mother of three, has partnered with her father to bring her childhood memories to life.

In the Land of Nuf, all the things a child could wish for can happen. Slides replace stairs, swimming pools are filled with marshmallows, and email was outlawed in 2007. But even in a fun-filled world, conflicts can arise. Big brother Beega has a big mouth, and his careless words often hurt Tiny, his little sister. Dooga, Beega's best friend, is learning how to speak up when necessary, and after watching Tiny's feelings get hurt, Dooga helps Beega start the day over in a very creative way.

This children's book:

  • is ideal for boys and girls ages 4–8 and is perfect for classrooms, counseling settings, and especially bedtime reading;
  • supports social-emotional learning (SEL) and emotional intelligence;
  • teaches kindness, empathy, and compassion;
  • shows healthy resilience, teamwork and problem-solving;
  • encourages children to speak with purpose and care so they don't confuse or hurt others; and
  • reinforces healthy family relationships and positive friendships.

Beega Gets a Do-Over turns everyday challenges into meaningful lessons kids can understand and apply. Travel to the Land of Nuf today!

Emerson Eggerichs, PhD, is an internationally known communication expert and author of the New York Times bestseller Love & Respect.  Just as Dr. Eggerichs transformed millions of marital relationships with a biblical understanding of love and respect, he also turned these principles to one of the most important relationships of all in Mother & Son:  The Respect Effect.  As a communication expert, Emerson has also spoken to groups such as the NFL, NBA, PGA, US Navy SEALs and members of Congress. He was the senior pastor of Trinity Church in East Lansing, Michigan for almost twenty years.  Emerson holds a PhD in child and family ecology from Michigan State University, a BA in Biblical Studies from Wheaton College, an MA in communications from Wheaton College Graduate School, and an MDiv from the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary. He and his wife Sarah have been married since 1973 and have three adult children.   Joy Eggerichs Reed is the founder of Punchline Agency where she works with authors, speakers, and anyone with an idea who needs direction, encouragement, and tangible action steps. Prior to starting Punchline, Joy got her start as a blogger, speaker, and event host speaking to audiences of up to 12k people. She took several years of improv comedy classes to fine tune the skill of active listening and adding levity whether on a stage or with clients. Joy is also the author of two books, Get to the Publishing Punchline and Writing with Bernard The Baguette: A Kids (Fun and Silly) Guide to Discover the Joys of Writing. She lives as an American in Paris with her husband Matt and their three kids. Collectively, their family consumes thirty-four percent of the country’s croissant production.  Maine Diaz was born in La Plata, Argentina, and grew up drawing and painting. Cartoons captured her imagination early on, and she quickly realized she wanted to be an animator. At the age of sixteen, she started animating, working on films like Patoruzito and El Arca (Patagonik Film Group, Argentina). Simultaneously, she enrolled in audiovisual communication at Universidad Nacional de La Plata (UNLP). Soon after, she started illustrating for children’s books. Currently, Maine lives in a tiny green house, where she spends time with her two cats, Chula and Lola.
