Behind the Iron Curtain: A Teacher’s Guide to East Germany and Cold War Activities discusses teaching Cold War activities through an East German perspective. Jeffrey M. Byford is associate professor of social studies education at the University of Memphis. He earned his Ph.D. in curriculum and instruction from the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Byford’s research interest includes Cold War education and curriculum design.
