A lively and engaging Starters title for beginner readers from bestselling author Vivian French, with a friendly text and stylish two-colour illustrations.
Bert and the Burglar is part of Walker Starters, the wonderfully fun and friendly series for beginner readers. Police Constable Bert likes skipping, fluffy kittens and writing poems. He also likes Police Constable Marigold. Police Constable Marigold likes acting tough, fierce dogs and catching burglars. She does NOT like Police Constable Bert... This is a charming and uplifting story told through a range of writing styles, including hand-lettered speech bubbles, postcards and posters. The illustrations, which appear on every page, are lively and stylish, and play an active part in helping children understand the text.
Vivian French is a bestselling children's author who has written over 40 books for Walker, and more than 250 books during the course of her career.
