Big Cat for Little Wandle Fluency has been developed in collaboration with Wandle Learning Trust and Little Sutton Primary School. It consists of a range of chapter books with increasing word counts across 10 fluency levels aimed at children in Year 2 and 3. Each book builds reading confidence, stamina and speed and nurtures a love for reading.

Fluency 10 books have a word count of 5760 words with an expected reading rate of 120 words per minute.

Pie Fortune and his friends must save the Great City from an army of armoured elephants. They just need to find a golden lamp containing an all-powerful genie. But things are never that simple in the Kingdom of Mirthia…

My name is Gareth P Jones. I am an award-winning author and performer. I have written over 45 books for children of all ages, ranging from picture books to older, stranger, and sometimes scarier novels. I also spend a lot of time visiting schools and festivals where I sing songs about my books. Dan is a self-taught illustrator born in Essex in 1972. Dan moved to Kent as a child and finally settled in the tranquil village of Chartham. He creates his illustrations from the imaginary worlds between his (slightly hairy) ears. Dan loves sharp teeth, claws, creatures that want to take over the world and pretty much everything in between except clowns — so you won’t find any here. He’s continually improving his art and producing images for children that he hopes will knock their socks off!
