This book brings together renowned scholars of British migration history. The book combines local and global migrations as well as economic and social aspects of nineteenth and twentieth century British migration history.

Marie Ruiz is Associate Professor in British history at the Université de Picardie Jules Verne, Amiens, France. She is the author of British Female Emigration Societies and the New World (1860–1914).
