This fun pack children's book includes art activities based on 10 historical, modern and contemporary British artworks. A fun and insightful introduction to art, it'll get kids drawing, painting, carving, crushing, walking and taking photographs as they create their own works of art.

Throw yourself into British art with this zany book of activities based on artworks by some of Britain’s most exciting artists. Play a game of ‘Formaldehyde and Seek’ inspired by Damien Hirst, take cues from Barbara Hepworth and carve a sculpture out of soap, and find out how to capture the spectacular glow of J.M.W. Turner’s painted sunsets with a torch and some cellophane.

There are fascinating facts about the artists dotted throughout the book and when you’re ready to take a break from creating, delve into an Op Art maze inspired by Bridget Riley or take your pencil on a Word Walk like Richard Long.

Sharna Jackson is an award-winning, bestselling author and Artistic Director who creates work for children and young people. Most recently, she was the Artistic Director at Site Gallery, and was on the board of Sheffield Doc/Fest — in addition to being a member of BAFTA's Children’s and Learning and New Talent committees, and the Children’s Media Conference advisory board. James Lambert is an illustrator living and working in London. He graduated from the Royal College of Art with an MA in Communication Art and Design. His work is housed in the Tate Archives and has been exhibited at the Design Museum. His solo show Look and Learn was held at Sketch Gallery in London.
