Finding an unexpected future…

Since her life-altering accident, veterinary nurse Willow guards her heart and never settles anywhere. When her sexy new boss Carter persuades her to care for injured puppy Axel, Willow’s determined not to get too attached—and not just to the pup! She’s there temporarily, and Carter won’t risk anything on someone who can’t stick around—not again. But as healing Axel brings them together, pulling herself apart from Carter seems impossible…

A fresh start for them both?

Fleeing a scandal, Dr Penny Burman arrives in the middle of nowhere to start over. So when she has a run-in with a gorgeous mountain man who’s revealed to be legendary neonatal doc Atticus Spike, she’s shocked to find her pulse racing! But as she gets to know the reclusive Atticus she learns they have more in common than they realise. Can Penny entice his heart to come out of hiding…?

With a background of working in medical laboratories and a love of the romance genre it's no surprise that Sue Mackay writes medical romance stories. She wrote her first story at age eight and hasn't stopped since. She lives in New Zealand's Marlborough Sounds where she indulges her passions for cycling, walking and kayaking. When she isn't writing she also loves cooking and entertaining guests with sumptuous meals that include locally caught fish. Born and raised just outside of Toronto, Ontario, Amy fled the big city to settle down with the country boy of her dreams. After the birth of her second child, Amy was lucky enough to realize her life long dream of becoming a romance author. When she's not furiously typing away at her computer, she's a mom to three wonderful children who use her as a personal taxi and chef.
