This is the second of two volumes dealing with aspects of the analysis of spatial data. The first volume concentrated on describing recent advances made in methods for the analysis of point pattern data and on a synopsis of the regression methods available for the analysis of quantitative spatial data.

GRAHAM J. G. UPTON is a former Professor of Applied Statistics, Department of Mathematical Sciences, University of Essex. Dr. Upton is author of The Analysis of Cross-tabulated Data - 1978 - and joint author of Spatial Data Analysis by Example, both published by Wiley. He is the lead author of The Oxford Dictionary of Statistics . His books have been translated into Japanese, Russian, and Welsh.

Bernard Fingleton is a Director of Research in the Department of Land Economy, University of Cambridge. Previously he was University Reader in Geographical Economics at Cambridge University and a Professor of Economics at Strathclyde University, Glasgow, Scotland.
