Provides an in-depth, visual survey of philosophy—its ideas, movements, history, and thinkers—so that you can better see how it has impacted Christian thought and theology.

Philosophy has had a significant shaping influence on religion, including Christianity. If you read even slightly above a popular level in Christian theology or thought, you’re sure to encounter many terms and ideas from philosophers throughout the ages. For those who didn’t major in philosophy, this can sometimes feel like stumbling into a dark maze.

Perfect for enhancing every type of teaching and learning situation and style, including homeschooling curricula and tutoring, church classes and Sunday school, this volume of the ZondervanCharts series includes charts of ideas and trends as well as pertinent diagrams, divided into five main parts:

  • Classical disciplines of philosophy
  • Analytic philosophy
  • Continental philosophy
  • Philosophy of religion
  • History of philosophy

A valuable reference for anyone who wants to better understand the ideas that have shaped our world.

ZondervanCharts are ready references for those who need the essential information at their fingertips. Accessible and highly useful, the books in this library offer clear organization and thorough summaries of issues, subjects, and topics that are key for Christian students and learners. The visuals and captions will cater to any teaching methodology, style, or program.
