In this collection of sixteen literary and historical essays, Peter Green informs, entertains, and stimulates. Peter Green is Dougherty Centennial Professor of Classics Emeritus at the University of Texas, Austin, and currently Visiting Professor of History at the University of Iowa, Iowa City.
