Every creature in the world - from the tiny beetle to the enormous blue whale - depends on its environment to survive. This beautifully illustrated book introduces children of all ages to different wildlife and habitats around the globe, from lush forests and teeming oceans to deserts and hot spots. Discover the most extreme places on Earth and find out how animals and humans have adapted to live in them in this wonderful book, perfect for young wildlife lovers.
Moira Butterfield wrote her first book when she was 8 years old; she glued photos of cats in an exercise book and wrote about them, too. Now she is an internationally published author of children's fiction and non-fiction. She lives in Bath and writes in a small office opposite a sweet shop. Jonathan Woodward developed an interest in wildlife and art at an early age and is now an award-winning wildlife illustrator. Jonathan is passionate about conservation and the protection of wildlife and as the father of two young children, is proud to help pass this message on to the next generation.
