Corruption in Nigeria addresses the effects of corruption in Nigeria and provides a concise overview for a lasting solution. Offering insight from the authors' original thinking and experiences, the book traces corruption from colonial rule through nearly fifty years of successive civilian and military government, counter coupes, and ethical reform programs that were launched using Mazi A. Kanu Oji's ideas. The experience of Nigeria, as the most populous country in Africa with great potential for becoming one of the world's leading nation-states, is relevant to African studies, political science, public administration, and leadership studies, as well as U.S. and global policy interests on health and human rights, ethical leadership, and governance in Africa.

Mazi A. Kanu Oji, LL.B., MBA, FCIS, MON is ruling elder, Presbyterian Church of Nigeria. He holds over sixty years of experience in business, diplomatic, public administration, political and community service in Nigeria and across Africa, Europe, and North America. He was Nigerian consul to the U.S.A. 1962 - 1967; head of Africa Group of the Middle-East/Africa Division of the International Banking Department, Bankers Trust Company, 1970 - 1973; and private business in Nigeria, 1974 - 2000. Oji retired in 2000.
Valerie U. Oji, Pharm.D., BCPP is assistant professor of clinical and administrative pharmacy sciences, College of Pharmacy, Nursing & Allied Health Sciences, Howard University. A pharmacist of twenty-two years, she has served as past co-chair, Health Affairs, Women in NAACP, Houston, Texas and secretary of health, Nigerian Union, U.S.A., 2003-2005.
