About the Creepy Classics Children's Collection:

An opera house haunted by a musical spirit and a castle whose owner sleeps in a coffin are just two of the places these ten spooky stories transport readers to. Based on the world’s most famous gothic literature, they have been simplified and sanitised for a younger audience, with all the excitement and thrills of the originals.

Gemma Barder lives in Market Harborough, Leicester, with her family and a mischievous cocker spaniel. She started life working in children’s and pre-teen magazines before moving into the world of publishing. She’s now a freelance writer full time and writes activity books, treasuries, novels and storybooks for children, as well as publishing her own magazine. Gemma writes a wide range of children’s books for Sweet Cherry, with more projects in the pipeline.

Nick Moffatt has been a freelance illustrator for the past 20 years, working in film, television, advertising and animation. He has a real passion for storytelling and narratives. Recently his Beat generation book cover designs were highly commended in the World Illustration Awards.
