Dostoyevsky's novel of damnation and redemption follows a desperate student Raskolnikov who commits murder without remorse. Pursued by the authorities his conscience grows louder as the noose around his neck tightens. Classics Illustrated tells this wonderful tale in colourful comic strip form, offering an excellent introduction for younger readers. This edition also includes theme discussions and study questions, which can be used both in the classroom and at home to further engage the reader in the story.
Fyodor Dostoyevsky (11 November 1821- 9 February 1881) was a Russian novelist whose literary works explore the human condition in the troubled political, social and spiritual atmospheres of 19th Century Russia. Rudolf Palais (1912-2004) worked in the comics field for 40 years in the U.S. He drew for Classics Illustrated, DC Comics and found his love in horror comics in the 50s.
