Christian Laes is Professor of Ancient History at the University of Manchester, UK. He is the author of Children in the Roman Empire (2011), Disabilities and the Disabled in the Roman World (2018) and the co-author, along with Johan Strubbe, of Youth in the Roman Empire (2014).
Ville Vuolanto is Senior Lecturer of History and Latin Language at the Tampere University, Finland. He has published extensively on children, youth and family in the Roman and Late Antique periods, including Children and Asceticism in Late Antiquity (2015).
