Abuelita can't visit Lola for her birthday, so she sends her tickets to see Swan Lake. Lola loves the show so much that she decides she wants to be a ballerina. But ballet is not as easy as it seems. When Lola’s instructor announces they’ll be dancing Swan Lake for their recital, Lola is excited... until she learns her role. Rather than a graceful swan, she’ll be a background chicken! Lola must learn she can still be an important part of the show, as long as she’s comfortable in her own feathers.
Keka Novales is originally from Guatemala and now calls Texas home. She lives with her husband and their three children and two dogs. Keka and her family have lived in several places in the U.S, including South Carolina, Kansas, Florida, and now Texas. Every state has been a unique and beautiful experience. Moving has taught them to be flexible and always enjoy each moment. When Keka is not writing, she is having adventures with her family. Gloria Félix was born and raised in Uruapan, a beautiful, small city in Michoacán, Mexico. Her home is one of her biggest inspirations when it comes to art. Her favorite things to do growing up were drawing, watching cartoons, and eating, which still are some of her favorite things to do. Gloria currently lives and paints in Los Angeles, California.
