A fourth title in the 'A Day in the Life' series, this time looking at amazing and historic discoveries.

Created by award-winning duo Mike Barfield and Jess Bradley, the book follows the highly successful format of the previous three titles, with a mix of graphic-style factual comics, as well as Secret Diaries, Bigger Picture pages, and Even Bigger Picture double-page spreads.

From the treasures found in Tutankhamun’s tomb and Roald Amundsen’s ground-breaking expedition to the South Pole to the uncovering of the first dinosaur, the accidental discovery of penicillin and the launch of the James Webb telescope, this is a laugh-out-loud guide to the world’s most incredible and wonderful discoveries.

Also available in the series:
A Day in the Life of a Poo, a Gnu and You (Winner of the Blue Peter Book Award 2021) 9781780556468
A Day in the Life of a Caveman, a Queen and Everything in Between 9781780557137
A Day in the Life of an Astronaut, Mars and the Distant Stars 9781780557441

Mike Barfield has been wild about animals from an early age. His love of nature took him to King’s College London where he gained a first class honours degree in botany and zoology. After a career in comedy writing for TV and radio, he turned to creating award-winning non-fiction for children built on his love of science and finding things out.
