Doubt doesn’t have to divide one’s faith—it can be a tool for believers to dive deeper into their faith.

In Devout in Doubt, Paul Baldwin shares his transformational journey wrestling with cancer, demonstrating that regardless of an individual’s physical, emotional, or spiritual suffering, the reality of certain and inevitable doubt doesn’t have to divide their faith. Through daily snapshots of vulnerability and transparency, Devout in Doubt meets readers in their pain and helps them regather their purpose.

Paul Baldwin’s prayer for those experiencing seasons of suffering and confusion is that they embrace the truth—that doubt isn’t the opposite of faith, but an element of faith.

Paul Baldwin has been a pastor and leader for 30 years. His primary work has been investing in hungry leaders who have a deep desire to have a big kingdom impact in their immediate contexts. Paul holds an undergraduate degree in Sociology and Organizational Management and a master’s degree in Education and Counseling from Cal Poly State University. He is currently working on his master’s degree in Global Leadership from Fuller Seminary. He has served as a consultant, coach, and church planter across the United States. For the past six years, Paul has served as the executive pastor at the Miami Vineyard Church, a large multi-cultural faith community in southwest Miami, Florida where he leads a team of 40 staff, 400 volunteers and 4,000 members. He and his wife, Becky, have four children and live in Cutler Bay, Florida.
