Jo O'Riordan lives in Edinburgh with her husband, four-year-old son and two-year-old daughter. After graduating from the University of Glasgow, she spent some travelling and then earned a CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching), so she could teach English as a foreign language. She then spent two years teaching in the UK, Ireland and South Korea, before returning to higher education and completing postgraduate studies in Journalism at the University of the West of Scotland.
