Hoang Giang was born in Dalat, a small highland city in Vietnam, before moving to Ho Chi Minh City to pursue a career in illustration. She went on to study Illustration at the Cambridge School of Art. She has illustrated The Christmas Department Store written by Maudie Powell-Truck, A Christmas Carol retold by Kristina Stephenson and the chapter book series Magic Keepers, written by Linda Chapman.
