About Max Porter | Dorothee de Monfreid

Max Porter is the author of four novels, including the Sunday Times #1 bestseller Shy. He is Associate Artist at The Southbank Centre and chair of the judging panel for the International Booker Prize 2025. This is his first children's book.

Dorothée de Monfreid is a French author and illustrator. She worked as a graphic designer before children's books. She is best known for illustrating I Really Want to Eat a Child. Dorothée also creates comics and is an accomplished ukulele player.
