Emily Laurent Henderson is the Associate Curator, Indigenous Arts and Culture, at the McMichael Canadian Art Collection. As a Kalaaleq (South Greenlandic) person, her practice is centered on Inuit and Indigenous sovereignty and self-determination in the arts. She is also a writer and poet, with her work appearing in several national arts publications. She released a debut collection of poetry in 2024.
