James King has written books on Paul Nash Herbert Read Roland Penrose and Virginia Woolf. He is Professor Emeritus of English at McMaster University. King was educated at the University of Toronto and Princeton has been a Guggenheim Fellow and is a member of the Royal Society of Canada.
