Focused entirely around fifteen private and rarely seen residences, the book takes as its starting point some of his earliest projects – Concrete Box House (2004) and Earth House (2009) – which explore the emotional impact of place through low-intervention and minimalist rural structures. Byoung Cho founded BCHO Architects Associates in Seoul in 1994. Over the last three decades he has built up a reputation as one of the key architects driving the expansion of one of the world's most densely populated cities. He was the general director of the Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism 2023.
