Marieke van der Wal is a PhD Student at the Department of Sociology at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. Sociology of Education has her general interest. Cross-Curricular Competencies is the subject of her dissertation. Her dissertation will go into a conceptualisation and measurement of Cross-Curricular Competencies and can be expected in autumn 2002.
