A focus of this new edition is a re-think of what is meant by a pedagogy for global social justice that brings in references to transformative learning and global citizenship. Douglas Bourn is Professor of Development Education and Co-Director of the Development Education Research Centre at University College London, UK. He is editor of The Bloomsbury Handbook of Global Education and Learning (Bloomsbury, 2020), and co-editor with Massimiliano Tarrozi of Pedagogy of Hope for Global Social Justice (Bloomsbury, 2023).
