This version of Ibsen's An Enemy of the People by Arthur Miller was first performed at Broadhurst Theatre, New York, in December 1950.
Henrik Ibsen (1828-1906) was a Norwegian playwright and theatre director. His plays include: Brand, Peer Gynt, A Doll’s House, Ghosts, An Enemy of the People, Hedda Gabler, Rosmersholm, The Master Builder, Little Eyolf, John Gabriel Borkman and When We Dead Awaken.
Arthur Miller (1915–2005) was an American playwright, essayist and screenwriter. Among his most popular plays are All My Sons (1947), Death of a Salesman (1949), The Crucible (1953), and A View from the Bridge (1955). He is considered one of the foremost playwrights of the 20th century.
