This book presents the first critical edition with annotated translation of Himam al-Thawāqib, based on two extant manuscripts. Maryam Moazzen is Associate Professor of Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Louisville. She gained a PhD in Persian Language and Literature from the University of Tehran in 1999 and a PhD in Near & Middle Eastern Civilizations from the University of Toronto in 2011. She is the author of Formation of a Religious Landscape: Shi‘i Higher Learning in Safavid Iran (Brill, 2017).
