Dr. Kang earned his PhD and MD degrees at the Kyung Hee University Medical School in Seoul, Korea. He received a National Kidney Foundation Fellowship at the University of California at San Diego (Division of Nephrology, Department of Medicine) in 2009–2010. He has received several research grants and has several years of clinical trial experience. He is also a published author and presenter at professional meetings.
