This catalogue celebrates Dr. Martin Eidelberg’s donation of European art pottery to the Saint Louis Art Museum

This beautiful book begins with an introduction to European art pottery between 1880 and 1914, followed by a plate section featuring the gifted works grouped by country of origin. Each group starts with a brief prologue describing pottery production in that region around the turn of the twentieth century. Also included is a ceramic marks reference section and a selected bibliography.
David Conradsen is the Grace L. Brumbaugh and Richard E. Brumbaugh Curator of Decorative Arts and Design at the Saint Louis Art Museum.
Dr. Martin Eidelberg, Professor Emeritus of Art History at Rutgers University, has published widely on eighteenth-century painting and on modern ceramics and glass.
Dr. Jonathan Clancy is the Director of Collections and Preservation at the Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms in New Jersey.
