Welcome to Faerie Apothecary, tucked deep in the woods in the trunk of a tree. As a menagerie of folklore creatures like a selkie, a pixie, and a troll pay visit, the faeries provide remedies for each ailment the visitors face. Readers are introduced to the healing benefits of herbs and plants like Chamomile, St. John’s Wort, Pine, Elder, and more in this charming tale, which lightly weaves knowledge into a story that will enchant both children and adults.

Featuring stunning hand-painted watercolor illustrations by Gaby Verdooren and rhythmic, rhyming text by Andrea Stein (C is for Coven, Sunday the Sea Witch) The Faerie Apothecary is a gentle introduction to plant medicine.

Andrea Stein is an author of magical books for children, including Brina: A Pagan Picture Book and What Witches Wear. As the publisher and owner of Moon Dust Press, she creates resources for families that change the narrative around witchcraft in children's literature. She lives with her family in Austin, Texas.

Gaby Verdooren is an illustrator who lends herself largely to the nostalgia of her childhood, and the strong mystique of the natural world. Her work draws from autumnal color palettes, vintage fantasy aesthetics, and the occult. Gaby is an alumnus from Parsons School of Design.
