Seductive, dangerous, and drenched in forbidden desire… The chemistry is intense, the power dynamics deliciously unbalanced, and the moral conflict keeps the stakes high throughout’ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

'If you loved Snow White as a kid but want an upgraded, mature version then this is for you!’ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

RED AS BLOOD

I never wanted to be part of his life. I am the law, and he is everything I’ve vowed against.

But every time I see him, I can’t help but imagine what I want him to do to me.

He has a reputation. A dark possessive side.

I know he’d hurt me. But maybe that’s what I want…

WHITE AS SNOW

I never wanted to hurt her. She should’ve known to stay away from me.

But there’s something about her innocence that I desire.

My loyalty should be to my family. And she does not fit in my world.

Yet the taste of her purity is too tempting. Just one drop and I promise, that’ll be enough…

‘This is one of the best retellings I’ve ever read! I loved every minute of it’ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

One of my top fairytale retellings… I loved the morally grey and possessiveness of the MMC’ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Mairi MacMillan lives on the wet and windy west coast of Scotland, brewing dark tales and even darker cups of tea — despite her son’s advice that five minutes is the maximum steeping time required. After an intentionally dramatic time at university, she left Glasgow’s urban sprawl many years ago, and now spends her days weaving romances containing characters that may or may not be inspired by some of her quirkier kinfolk.

When not corrupting perfectly good characters with morally grey choices, she can be found wild-swimming in a sea-loch described locally as ‘baltic,’ or nose-deep in books with heat levels to compensate. She's currently plotting her escape from the everyday grind in a yet-to-be-acquired camper van, much to the amusement of her nearly-grown children. Her husband remains hopeful that one day she’ll get around to sorting out her clutter — and that he might be invited along on any trips!
