Drew, a.k.a. the Fantastic Freewheeler, is on a mission: Help his friend Mikey adopt a dog! After volunteering at the local animal shelter, Mikey bonds with a sweet pup. But then the potential pet shows some destructive behaviours that put the adoption at risk! Can Freewheeler use his amazing brain boost ability to understand what’s behind the dog’s deeds so she can finally find a forever home? Find out in this exciting Fantastic Freewheeler graphic novel, featuring a hero with attitude who uses a wheelchair due to cerebral palsy, as well as action full of humour and heart.
Like the Fantastic Freewheeler, Molly Felder has cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair. She received her BA and MA in writing from NYU Gallatin. Her debut picture book, Henry the Boy, is based on the years she spent walking with crutches and is published by Penny Candy Books. The Fantastic Freewheeler books are her first graphic novels. She has taught English to kids in China online and loves having her service dog, Patterson, by her side. If she could pick a superpower, it would be to hear what he’s thinking.
