Biller, well known for his extensive research into the impacts of involved fathering or the absence thereof, provides a comprehensive, straightforward analysis of just how important paternal involvement really is. HENRY B. BILLER is Professor of Psychology at the University of Rhode Island, where he has taught since 1970. He is a consulting editor to Archives of Sexual Behavior and Sex Roles and is a fellow of the American Psychological Association and the American Psychological Society. He has contributed to Annual Progress in Child Psychiatry and Child-Development and The Handbook of Developmental Psychology, and he is the author and co-author of eight books including Father Power and Child Maltreatment and Paternal Deprivation. A developmental clinical psychologist, he has worked with a variety of human service organizations serving parents and children.
