Dickie Denton was born into a 1960s Manchester home with many siblings, one of whom was adopted and of Asian parentage. Born into a large middle-class family in Manchester in 1966, Dickie Denton was educated in Leeds and then Sunderland Polytechnic. From 1988 to 2018 he held senior international roles in the drinks industry based in three continents. Since 2018 he has been a business consultant, a candidate for local government, a school governor and worked in the organic cannabis industry in British Columbia. This is his first book.
