When a tree falls in the forest, Fern is determined to step up and lead a rescue mission to raise it back up to its grand height. With the help of her quirky and ambitious forest friends—Millipede, Moth, Slug, Lichen, and Mushroom—the crew springs to action in search of LOG-ical solutions to restore the tree to its upright position. Will they succeed in their mission? You’ll never be-LEAF what happens next!

Jana Curll is a children’s illustrator based on the rainy west coast of Canada and is grateful to live on the traditional lands of the shíshálh Nation with her family. She is inspired by the creatures and environment of the local rainforests and the ocean and spends her spare time wandering through winding trails and along rocky beaches. She likes doodling funny maps and sipping strong coffee while her large cat sleeps on her lap. She’s also the author-illustrator of Barnacle Bay, the first book in the Little Habitats series also published by Greystone Kids.
