A colourful and gentle introduction to the concept of animal camouflage for young children.

Some animals hide in the desert, others hide in the snow – and some don’t hide at all! From insects that look like leaves to underwater creatures that can blend into their background, discover all the clever ways animals use camouflage. Written by the award-winning author Martin Jenkins and illustrated by Jane McGuinness, this beautiful picture book is a perfect introduction to animal camouflage.

A conservation biologist who has worked for WWF, the UN, and as an award-winning author of wildlife books for children. Jane was born in Glasgow; a big city, but a green one. She always liked the idea of being an author, but didn't realize for a long time that you were allowed to both write the words and draw the pictures if you wanted to! A BA in Illustration at the University for the Creative Arts in Maidstone helped Jane learn how richly drawings could tell stories – it was there where she rediscovered picture books, and there that she realized that she loves words as much as she loves pictures.
