Read to your baby every day with this collection of developmentally tailored stories.

First Stories for Baby presents a pitch-perfect blend of read-aloud stories and high-contrast visuals to stimulate babies from birth. With four stories to read, and four adorable animals: an owl, bear, tiger and dolphin.

This first book in the series focuses on closeness, cuddles and physical descriptions - perfect for very young babies whose limited gaze is focussed on their care-giver. Book 1 is purely in black and white to help tiny babies focus on the page. Neither too long, nor too short, these stories easily fit into baby's daily routine, to make reading together a regular activity all the family can enjoy and benefit from.

When your little one is ready to move on, try the next book in the series: Make Some Noise. Each story collection has been created in consultation with an early years expert to perfectly suit your baby's needs at every stage in their first year. Beautifully written and illustrated by award-winning illustrator Emma Dodd.

Emma Dodd (Author, Illustrator)
Emma studied Graphic Design and Illustration at Central Saint Martin's School of Art in London and has been lucky enough to work as an illustrator ever since. She has illustrated more than 200 books for children and now writes and illustrates her own books, as well as collaborating with other authors.

Emma's two children and her love of nature and the outdoors are her main sources of inspiration. Emma lives in Guildford, Surrey with her family and their two Jack Russell terriers, Buzz and Twiglet.
