Footnotes to Plato is a guide for beginning students of philosophy as they begin to systematically reflect upon philosophical matters like the nature of the good, living the good life, and exploring the nature of the cosmos. Kevin K. Durand, Ph.D., is an associate professor of philosophy at Henderson State University. He has written several books and articles ranging from ancient philosophy (Virtue: Essays in Ancient Philosophy) to ethics (Sidgwick's Utility and Whitehead's Virtue) to popular culture ("Wicked? Why it's not easy being green" in The Wizard of Oz and Philosophy).
