Dounia Bissar is Lecturer in French at the University of Essex, UK. She was formerly French Coordinator on the Open Language Programme at London Metropolitan University, UK, where she developed the course syllabi, assessment instruments and teaching and learning materials.
Helen Phillips is Staff Tutor (Languages) at The Open University in Wales/Y Brifysgol Agored yng Nghymru, UK. She was previously Director and founder of the Open Language Programme at London Metropolitan University and then Deputy Director of Applied Foreign Languages at the University of Bristol Language Centre.
Cécile Tschirhart is Head of Learning, Teaching and Student Experience at the Cass, London Metropolitan University, UK. She was formerly Director of the Open Language Programme, and she has also taught at Liverpool John Moores University and City of Liverpool Community College. She is a Senior and National Teaching Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
