Somewhere in rural Ireland, now, Janey is dropping out. Of college, of friends, of life. Stuck on her family farm, yearning for Dublin, she wants to swap the green fields for a concrete jungle and the endless quiet for a ceaseless noise. With a father she can’t talk to, and a dog that can’t talk back to her, Janey bows out and chooses no to life. This is an emotionally charged journey through the last days of a young woman’s battle with herself.

Lisa Tierney-Keogh was born in Dublin. She trained with the Lee Strasberg Theatre and The Second City. Lisa co-founded the Eden Theatre Company which produced two of her stage plays. Lisa was a member of the inaugural New Playwrights Program at the Abbey Theatre, Ireland’s National Theatre and was a finalist for the Juilliard Playwrights Fellowship in New York. She has won the Irish Times Theatre Awards Bursary and been nominated for the Stewart Parker New Writing Award, the BBC Tony Doyle Television Award, and the Dublin Fringe Festival Awards (Best New Play, Best Production, Judges Special Award). For television, Lisa has developed work with Octagon Films and Tyrone Productions in Ireland and Yo Yo Media in the UK. Lisa’s work has been performed in Dublin, London, Belfast and New York.
