Of course, one clue leads to the next: Fox follows arrows in the mud, notes taped to trees, swirling smoke signals, a map from a bottle and gifts from fellow animals – on the trail of a friendship that once was.

ALEX G GRIFFITHS is an illustrator from London, specialising in children’s picture books and character design. The majority of his work is done by hand, using a combination of pen and ink line work and brush textures in a messy way to create a natural style of illustration. He now lives in Canada with his wife and daughter.
