An elegant board book that features a young girl's search for the artist Paul Klee's famous cat in a fantastical outdoor landscape.

Frisky Face the Naughty Cat
is a delightful journey through the garden in search of a mischievous feline. Young readers will immerse themselves in the beauty of the garden as they follow a spirited little girl on her quest to find her naughty cat, Frisky Face.

Inspired by Paul Klee's iconic painting Cat and Bird, this tale weaves together themes of friendship and nature with humor and warmth. Discover the hidden meanings of Klee’s artwork as the girl searches under fir trees, by the stream, and in the soft moss, encountering vibrant colors and intriguing shapes along the way.

Key features:

  • World within the painting: Creates an imaginary world behind a famous painting that children can then witness with comfortable familiarity at the MoMA.
  • Paul Klee style: Illustrations mimic the style of Paul Klee.
  • Educational content: Contains a brief overview of the painting and of Paul Klee to encourage further education.

Through a playful narrative, children will learn about Klee’s unique style and the symbolism behind his painting Cat and Bird.
