Karyn R. Ames, a writer-editor with the Los Alamos National Laboratory, co-edited the first Frontiers of Supercomputing volume (California, 1986). Alan Brenner is a technical writer in Los Alamos. Thompson is Program Director for Computational Science at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
