A collection of interviews with the current Prime Minister of Italy.

A few weeks after taking charge of the Italian government, Giorgia Meloni was told by journalist Alessandro Sallusti: "It's a shame that a sitting Prime Minister can't think about writing a book to explain their plans." To which she replied, "And why can't they?" Sallusti responded, "I’m not exactly sure, but there must be a reason why no one’s ever done it." She retorted, "You should know that doing what everyone else has done isn’t exactly my specialty."

Thus, the idea for this conversation was born. In which Giorgia's Vision, Giorgia Meloni reveals her genuine views of life and the world. It is a passionate account in which she confronts the challenges of the present — from the war in Ukraine to the energy crisis, from the ecological transition to inflation — and dares to focus on individual responsibility, free initiative, the defense of nature, targeted investments to foster growth and reduce debt, a Europe that plays a leading role in the world while being close to its citizens' needs, and a "Mattei Plan" capable of bringing opportunity and development to the Middle East and Africa. Through eleven interviews, Meloni positions herself as a transformative leader advocating for strong governance and cultural preservation, blending personal anecdotes with broader political ambitions.

"It’s essential," Meloni tells Sallusti, "that Italians see a government that, sure, has its limits and difficulties, and maybe even makes mistakes. But it gives its all, in good faith, with humility and love. A government that has no friends to place in positions, no lobbies to please, no powerful people to repay. One that doesn’t cater to anyone, doesn’t intend to cheat you, and has the courage to tell you what can’t be done at a given time or in a certain context."
Giorgia Meloni was born in Rome in 1977. Politically active since her teenage years, she became a professional journalist at twenty-nine and was elected to Parliament for the first time. She holds the record as the youngest minister in the history of the Italian Republic: in 2008, at thirty-one, she became the Minister of Youth. On December 21, 2012, she founded Fratelli d’Italia, of which she is the national president. Since 2020, she has been the president of the European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR Party), one of the leading political groups in Europe. On October 22, 2022, she was sworn in by the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, as Prime Minister. She is the first woman in Italy’s history to hold this position.

Alessandro Sallusti has written for Il Messagero, Avvenire, Corriere della Sera, and Il Giornale, where he is currently the editor in chief. He is the co-author of Il Sistema and Lobby & Logge.
