Luigi Achilli is a senior researcher at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy, and at the Christian Michelsen Institute in Bergen, Norway. David Kyle is a professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of California at Davis. He is the author of Transnational Peasants: Migrations, Networks, and Ethnicity in Andean Ecuador.
