This book is a definitive guide to the study and practice of tourism. Conceived as an ultimate encyclopaedia and reference guide, it offers a structured, insightful, and contemporary exploration of the tourism sector in all its dimensions. The author critically engages with the complexities of the tourism industry and contributes meaningfully to its innovation and growth. Through global case studies and practical illustrations, the book equips readers with a comprehensive understanding of the tourism system—encompassing destinations, experiences, travellers, and service providers. It delves into emerging themes such as digital transformation, sustainability, changing consumer behavior, and post-pandemic recovery, making it an essential guide for navigating the dynamic future of tourism.

An all-encompassing resource that bridges academic theory with industry application, it will be indispensable for students, educators, trainers, researchers, tourism professionals, government departments, tourism boards, and industry associations. It will also serve as a core academic text and as a practical manual, supporting training, policymaking, and professional development.
