Adam Ciccio (1983 - ) was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and raised in Savannah, Georgia during his teen and young adult years. He graduated from St. Andrew's Preparatory School (Savannah, GA) in 2002. Adam graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of New Hampshire (Durham, NH) in 2006. He then pursued a Master of Science in Psychological Counseling at Salem State University (Salem, MA), graduating in 2012. Adam owns and operates a mental health private practice for children and adults in Marblehead, Massachusetts, the same town where he currently resides. Adam's first book, “Anxious Andy,” (Lulu Press, 2018) was developed as an introductory for parents and teachers to discuss the emotion of anxiety with children in early childhood, helping with early intervention of anxiety disorders. “Macie’s Mirror” (Clavis, 2019), a story about a little girl breaking free of her own fixation of popularity and self-image, was inspired by Adam’s first-born daughter, Charlotte.
Katrien Benaets obtained her master’s degree in Free and Applied Graphics at PIKOH (Hasselt). Ever since her hands can hold a pencil, drawing has been her greatest passion. She loves to convert stories to images, to let images speak, and to make children dream of a different world full of fantasy.
