Graham Denton spent most of his writing life as a children's poet and anthologist, and was twice shortlisted for the CLPE Poetry Award (CLiPPA), before turning to non-fiction sports books for adults. From the mid-1970s to the early 80s, like millions of other Wimbledon watchers, he enjoyed an annual fortnight-long love affair with Bjorn Borg.
